STAT Qualified Alexander Technique Teacher
Rachel Stevens -About Myself
I qualified as an Alexander Technique teacher in 1987 after completing a three year full time training course. I am member of the governing body, STAT (The Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique) and the CNHC (Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council). I am fully insured and covered by a code of ethics.
I work mainly on a one to one basis, but small group sessions and introductory talks can be arranged. For several years I taught at the Bristol Alexander Technique Training School where I was the Assistant Director. I am currently inolved in an evaluation of the Alexander Technique working with chronic pain sufferers at St Michaels Hospital in Bristol.
My Alexander Technique practice operates from clinics in Cheltenham, Nailsworth and from my home in Frampton on Severn in Gloucestershire. Sessions are gentle, therapeutic and respectful.
In addition I have trained in a range of healing methods including Reiki, Body Harmony and Psych-K.
I enjoy photographing flowers, feltmaking and beach combing and live with my husband, thirteen year old son and my dog, Coco.
